Kā mihi aroha ki a koutou, my loving thanks to everyone who has purchased and begun reading A Counter of Moons.
In case you missed it, A Counter of Moons is available via Steele Roberts Aotearoa https://steeleroberts.co.nz/product/a-counter-of-moons/ or your local bookshop should have them in stock by now.
The feedback so far has been incredibly heartwarming, and has left me quite speechless (a rare thing). Below are several quotes from people who have read (or are reading) the book:
“This is the opposite of a ‘misery memoir’, A Counter of Moons is affirming, deeply moving, poignant, authentic and seasoned with humour. This book is a beautiful gift, an outstretched hand to the suicide bereaved or anyone working with them.” Alex, York, UK
“A Counter of Moons is very direct, and this does not happen with suicide. This book is absolutely necessary.” Fiona, Auckland
“I am reading A Counter of Moons and it’s COMPELLING!” A friend, Dunedin
A little known fact for you all, is that my poetry collection In the shape of his hand lay a river was written at the same time as A Counter of Moons: creative companions that arose from my experience of suicide bereavement.

I have copies of both books, should anyone like a book-combo (as opposed to a fast-food combo). As we’ve not had in-person launches I am more than happy to sign copies to pop in the post for you.
Flick me an email and we can organise postage and payment etc, Iona x
